Meet the team – Dr Sushma Rao

Cherry Trees Dental has a fantastic team of skilled professionals, many of whom have been there for years. We love to keep our customers smiling, it’s the best part of our job.

Dr. Sushma Rao took ownership of Cherry Trees Dental in May, 2021.

Described as “calming” and “gentle” by her patients, Sushma has over 15 years’ experience as a general dentist.

Sushma completed her BDS in 2002 and then started as a resident surgeon in the oral surgery department of an oncology institute. Since then she has worked in private and NHS dental practices around London. In 2015, she completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Restorative Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons.

Sushma understands that going to the dentist can seem daunting, but she always does her best to keep patients at ease. One of her patients Mrs DT says, “Wonderful! Sushma, as ever, explained everything. She took amazing care and attention to detail. I now have a great smile.”

When she’s not at work, Sushma can be found in the kitchen. “My son keeps encouraging me to take part in the Great British Bake off. Maybe someday!”
